The year that was!

Lots of things happened in 2006 – both good and not so good – all of which made me a better person inside out. These are the things and events that I am really thankful in the past year….

Family…

There is nothing more that I can ask…I have a family that loves me despite my shortcomings (who could resist my charm anyway?!)…who understands me amidst the confusion of why their dear daughter cant go home for a couple of weeks and always sleeping if home!...who supports me in achieving my dreams and reminds me unendingly that I have no right to complain but rather have a thankful heart for everything!

Career…

it was my greatest year career wise. I was given a chance to handle one of the biggest projects (so far) of our advertising agency…it was indeed my time to shine, show off what i’ve got and earn a promotion (a hard work that paid off). I survived those months with an average of 4 hours sleep a day and more than 15 hours of daily work...the good thing is i shreded a lot of weight…but too bad I had the lbs back after the promo months!

Friendships…

I gained new friends from the new people that I have met and from old acquaintances, strengthen old friendships though I almost lost some…(buti na lang almost lang!). Leah (aka Charo…madami kasi akong leah na kakila) and Cherrie are the latest additions to my close friends…I never thought that we would share the bond and very thankful that we do.

Trips…

Added 3 new places to my “been there” list…there’s the outing in Ilocos, and the Bacolod and Cebu trip courtesy of Extra Joss Promo. I also visited Baguio to reunite will college buddies!

New favorite…

I have developed a new hobby – blogging! I find this so therapeutic that I highly recommend it. Another one is body massage…ever since I entered advertising I found out that body massage and other self pampering regime are necessary!

Love…

2006 was a year of healing a broken heart, moving on (not to the next one…but simply moving on!) and forgiving…(I might not have forgotten it but I’m sure I was able to forgive!) It was also my time of feeling like sixteen again!

2006 was indeed a great year! A year of working harder but keeping it fun…a year of loving myself more but not being selfish…a year of growing up while staying young…
